About Us

Mike Rinard, Founder and designer of Post 4 Optics, has a unique view of sporting glasses. He is currently an "AA" singles shooter, 27-yard handicap shooter, as well as an avid fisherman, hunter and a former one handicap golfer. His day job is making custom lenses at his optical laboratory. Mike decided to combine his two passions, shooting and optical manufacturing. The result is Post 4 Optics. After 5 years of designing and testing, he brought his Post 4 Shooting Glasses to the public and received rave reviews. Why is this company called Post 4? Because like all shooters, Mike is somewhat superstitious, he always starts on Post 4.

Mike Rinard Jr. has been shooting since learning to walk. Has been in the optical laboratory solidly since 14 years old. Enjoys all kinds of shooting and bow hunting, and fishing. A true Idaho sportsman when not on the road at shoots across the USA. Wife, two sons, and new home keeps him as busy as can besides all the shoots in the year.

Brian Johnson is the Webmaster for Post 4 Optics.   Brian is also known through out the trapshooting community as BJ or Short Pockets.   Brian is a third generation trap shooter and has been going to shooting events since he was 6 months old.   That shoot was in Nez Perce, Idaho at the Nez Perce Gun Club.   Brian is currently an "A" singles shooter, and a 27 yard handicap shooter.   Brian has won many state and national titles, and was fortunate enough to get an invite to try out for the Olympic team in 1996.   When Brian is not busy working on the Post 4 website he is working hard on his business degree at Arizona State University.   GO SUN DEVILS.
